Funny Are You Smarter Questions: Two Surprising Trivia Boards

Let the surprise be the joke: three-hearted octopuses, a blue Martian sunset and words that refuse to behave. Two different ten-question boards each have a separate worked finale.

Ready-to-host questions and materials

Keep the tone clean: the unlikely fact is the punchline, not the person who misses it. Read every alternative in the same tone so the host does not give the answer away.

After each reveal use the explanation and linked reference to distinguish the surprising fact from a myth. Do not add invented survey percentages.

Surprise board one: nature breaks the rules

Check prerequisites: Fractions, everyday words and a willingness to let facts surprise you.
